Fried chicken was some of the best I have had, so were the white beans and green beans. I'm not really a meat and 3 person, I usually prefer to go to trendier places in Nashville. But my husband and I recently found out about this place from a foodie friend who loves it.
So good we're taking some to my grandparents today since they love this kid food.
The fried apples were also very good and hubby loves the cornbread, it looks delish but I don't eat corn, hard to pass on that crispy corn cake. -

I've eaten here many times, the service is great, the food is fabulous. the prices are soooo cheap. the only drawback is it's bit warm in there. it is country cooking at it's finest.

I found this small home style southern cooking place, the food had enormous taste. Everything was cooked to perfection. I was through the area in my truck; I will be back again. This is a must place to try.

Kinda low end/low quality food. They have dressing, but they don't believe in cranberry sauce, so I went out and got a can of cranberry sauce and asked the kitchen guy to open it. He opened it and I said "just go ahead and put it on the line, some other people would like to have some, too." His brilliant reply was "we can't do that"!!! Blew me away !!! I refuse to eat with these people again. I will not go back there. Realistically, the health department would lose their mind in Wilson's. The hot food is NOT hot and the cleanliness factor leaves a lot to be desired. Add to that, the dressing that I was eager for had huge, very hard lumps in it. I came away with some serious stomach distress that lasted for 24 hours+. I will scratch this one off my list for future visits.

Ate lunch Sunday about 130. Not a big place and seat yourself. After sitting for a few minutes realized you get your own drinks. Not a big deal. Soda machine does not work and ice machine was empty. Poured some tea from a pitcher for us. Typical country food. I ate turnip greens whipped potatoes mac and cheese pinto beans. All good...mac and cheese was weird tasting. Meatloaf was meatloaf and baked chicken was average. Waited 30 minutes and no fried chicken. They had spaghetti on the bar but didnt try it. Best thing I ate was the cornbread fritters. Ate the last deviled egg. It was sweet as was the potato salad...not for me. All the hot food was lukewarm.
Overall was disappointed. 33 bucks for three people. They only take cash and checks.
